Nyungwe Tea/coffee Tours

There are two main tea/coffee tours available at Nyungwe National Park:

Gisakura Tea Estate Tour – This tour takes visitors to the Gisakura Tea Estate, a large tea plantation located just outside of Nyungwe National Park. On the tour, visitors will learn about the history of tea production in Rwanda, the different stages of tea processing, and the different types of tea that are grown at Gisakura. Visitors will also have the opportunity to sample a variety of teas and to purchase tea products from the plantation’s gift shop.

One & Only Nyungwe House Tea Experience – This tour is offered by the One & Only Nyungwe House, a luxury lodge located within Nyungwe National Park. The tour takes place in the lodge’s tea room, and it includes a presentation on the history and culture of tea in Rwanda, as well as a tasting of a variety of Rwandan teas. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about the different types of tea and how to brew them perfectly.

Both of these tours are a great way to learn about the tea and coffee industry in Rwanda and to sample some of the best tea and coffee in the world.
